The PATH Companion is a complimentary application designed to facilitate the tracking of exercise progress alongside the PATH web application. The tool is organized into three main features:

<ol>
 <li>Full Progress Log Synchronization: Users can seamlessly add records through either the mobile or web application, with all data automatically synchronized across both platforms.</li>
 
 <li>Progress Submission Options: Users have two methodologies to submit their exercise data:
 <ul>
 <li>Option A: Integration with Apple HealthKit
 By enabling this feature at the app's launch, users can authorize the PATH Companion to automatically upload daily 'Energy Burned' metrics to their online PATH account, utilizing data collected from their Apple Watch.
 </li>
 <li>Option B: Pedometer Tool
 This straightforward process includes the following steps:
 <ol>
 <li>Click “Start”</li>
 <li>Secure your mobile device on your person, such as in a pocket or on an armband.</li>
 <li>Commence walking or running.</li>
 <li>Click “Stop & Save” upon completion.</li>
 </ol>
 Your step count will then be automatically uploaded to your online PATH account.
 </li>
 </ul>
 </li>

<li>Manual Progress Entry Tool: Similar to the online application, this feature facilitates reporting via either daily energy burned records or the pedometer tool. Users can record various metrics including calories burned, steps taken, miles walked, or time spent exercising. Additionally, the app provides an “Activities-to-Conversion” list to help convert different activities into steps or calories. After entering an entry and selecting a mood, users can submit their data, which will be saved to their online PATH account. It is advisable to keep personal metrics such as height, weight, and stride updated for optimal results.</li>
</ol>

The application aims to empower PATH members in leading fulfilling lives, enhancing their experiences at work, home, and within their communities.
